After months of speculation, Simon Cowell has officially confirmed Cheryl will join him on the show
After months of speculation, it has finally been confirmed that British beauty Cheryl Cole will join Simon Cowell as a judge on the American version of the X Factor.

Simon’s Syco record label confirmed the news in an official statement earlier today, revealing she will join Simon and former record producer L.A. Reid on the panel.
And after setting her heart on the US job, Cheryl couldn’t be more thrilled to have landed the prestigious panel spot.
‘I’m so excited to be taking part in the American version of The X Factor, the songstress revealed today.
'I can’t wait to get started. I just can’t decide whether I am more excited to find and nurture the talent or for the unbelievable amount of amusement and entertainment I will have watching Simon doing everything and anything he can to beat me.
'He’s tried to beat me for three years in the UK, and hasn’t even come close,’ she joked. ‘His ego must be so bruised. America is gonna love this.'
This afternoon, Simon Cowell joined the chorus of people congratulating Ms C on her new job.
‘I'm thrilled for Cheryl,’ he said. ‘She is massively excited about this show, and has been fantastic to work with. She is also a complete brat. Most importantly, this girl can spot talent.'
Simon’s announcement comes on the same day Glee boss Ryan Murphy revealed he's to use her Parachute song on the hit show, and just weeks before filming is set to start on the much-hyped American show.
Bosses have yet to confirm the fourth and final judge who will sit alongside Cheryl, Simon and LA.Reid on the panel, or whether Cheryl will continue with her role on the UK version of the X Factor.
