Cheryl Cole breaks Twitter silence with Cameron Diaz birthday Tweet

Despite having an account since July, the star ventured onto the site for the very first time yesterday

She’s kept us waiting two whole months for her very first Tweet, but Cheryl Cole finally ventured on to Twitter for the very first time yesterday, sending not one, but two messages to her 225,000 followers.

Ms C took to the social networking site as she hit the set of her very first film What To Expect When You’re Expecting, alongside Cameron Diaz in Atlanta.

But fans were left slightly bemused by Cheryl’s first Tweeting attempt.

Hitting the site yesterday morning, the starlet wrote: 'It's me CC! WHERE MY SOLDIERS AT.......?!!! I can't believe what my fingers are doing but yes I'm tweeting :-s so here goes...X'

And during the afternoon, Cheryl ventured on to the site again, this time to wish co-star Cameron Diaz Happy Birthday.

'Happy birthday Cameron, you sexy beeeyyaatchh...X' she wrote, prompting rumours the pair have been getting on like a house on fire.

Later in the day, Cheryl’s PR company seemed to confirm it was Ms C herself sending the Tweets, quipping 'Twitter just got a whole lot more interesting.’

Right then.

Cheryl’s Twitter efforts come just days after talk the starlet has landed a deal to duet with Hollywood pal Rihanna.

‘They first spoke about a collaboration at the Brits and it's all still planned – they both want to do it,’ one insider told the sun. It's not a case of if, it's more when.’
