This year’s celebrity riders from Glastonbury’s festival have been revealed

Where do The Foo Fighters put it all?
Celebrity riders have long fascinated fans, with stories about Van Halen’s no brown M&Ms request, Kanye West’s Versace hand towels and Mariah Carey’s 20 white kittens and 100 doves becoming things of legend. With Glastonbury Festival well underway, many artists in the line-up have made special backstage requests and Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran and the Foo Fighters’ riders have been revealed.
Ed Sheeran's Rider
Ed Sheeran’s the most down to earth of the lot, with a list of requests a runner could easily pop over to Tesco for. His requests include a bottle of Robinsons squash as well as six packs of Fanta, Sprite, Coca-Cola and Diet Coke. The only thing that might throw event organisers for a loop is his jar of Manuka honey, which is used by many singers to keep their throat and voice healthy. Still, there’s nothing overly extravagant here and it comes to a total of roughly £58.
Katy Perry's Rider
Katy Perry keeps things healthier and a little more grown-up than the British singer, requesting dried fruits and veg such as apples, pears, strawberries and edamame. On the more substantial side, she also requested pitta bread, salsa and a bottle of sprite to wash it all down with. She’s also partial to a glass of white wine and included a bottle of Pinot Grigio on her rider. Hers is the cheapest on the list, costing just £22.
The Foo Fighters Rider
There’s a lot going on here. Sure, there are five people in the band but the everlong list of requests goes on and on. There’s no way we’re fitting it into an easy paragraph, so here’s the whole list below:
1X Fiji Water 1X Schwepps soda water 1X Coconut Water 1X Pom Juice 1X 12 pack of Diet Coke 1X Fresh orange juice 1X Ocean Spray cranberry juice 1 Case of Vitamin Water 1 Case of Red Bull 1 Case of Gatorade 1 Pack of Starbucks coffee beans 1X Fat free organic milk 1X Edensoy milk 1 Pack of Avocadoes 1 Pack of Tomatoes 1 Dark chocolate bar 1 Pack of Bananas 1 Pack of Apples 1 Pack of Pears 1 Pack of Kiwi Fruit 1 Pack of seedless grapes 1 Jar of peanut butter 1 Pack of all natural jelly 1 Pack of healthy cereal 1 Pack of Tiger Milk bars 1 Wheat bread loaf 1 Zone energy bar box
The list reads more like a monthly grocery shop rather than a concert rider. Theirs is the (unsurprisingly) the priciest on the list, boiling down to roughly £146.

While living the rock star rider life probably isn’t in the cards for most of us, Deliveroo’s come up with a way to help us pretend. From now until the 26th June, they’ll be selling these three riders through the Rockstar Requests tab on their app to celebrate Glastonbury.
If you’re planning a kiddy birthday party, Ed Sheeran’s could be a good shout...
