After weeks of rumours, reports suggest the French President’s wife could welcome not one, but two bundles of joy
Former supermodel, and France’s First Lady Carla Bruni is expecting twins with her French President hubby Nicolas Sarkozy, according to new reports today.
STRANGEST CELEBRITY BABY NAMES The super-slim premiere’s wife sparked speculation she was expecting earlier this month, when she was spied stepping out with a noticeably rounded tummy and fuller figure.
And the French star added further fuel to the fire by refusing to answer a question about her pregnancy, instead hinting at the answer with a coy, cryptic reponse.
‘If you'll allow me, I'd rather not answer these questions about my family,’ she said, when asked whether she was pregnant.
‘I'd love to talk to you woman to woman about my family life, my personal dreams – and I'm really a very chatty person.
‘But on this subject, I'm going to keep quiet. Not through arrogance or because I like keeping secrets.
‘I am remaining tight-lipped about that to protect something'
‘She went on: 'I would really like to to talk about it, but then it would take over everything else. And besides, it also involves people, so I'm not answering.’
Despite keeping quiet on her rumoured baby news, today showbiz magazine Voici claims Carla is not only expecting, but will welcome twins this October.
The publication added the pregnancy is an ‘open secret’ among French ministers, although officials are yet to confirm or deny the news.
