Gone were the starlet's trademark cropped blonde locks. And in their place? A thick head of long brunette hair.
Fresh from playing uber-glam Daisy Buchanen in the upcoming movie adaptation of The Great Gatsby, Ms Mulligan looked decidedly make-up free as she arrived to film the shots, dressing down in a dowdy green coat, black trousers and wellington boots.
The actress was joined on set by co-star Oscar Isaac, and the pair strolled through a New York park side-by-side as they filmed scenes during the day.
The much-anticipated movie, directed by ilm duo the Coen Brothers, tells the story of a folk singer arriving on the New York music scene in the 1960s.
