Cameron Diaz's 'great time' with ex Justin Timberlake on screen

Cameron Diaz praised her former boyfriend's talents on set of Bad Teacher.

Once one of the hottest couples in Hollywood, Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake got tongues wagging when they reunited to film upcoming flick Bad Teacher. But apparently working together was anything but awkward, with the 38-year-old actress enthusing, 'we had a great time.'

While out in Las Vegas at CinemaCon collecting her Female Star of the Year award, the funny woman praised her co-star and ex-flame’s talents, claiming that working with the 30-year-old singer, 'really wasn’t a big deal.'

'He’s a genius comedian, everybody knows,' she said. 'Saturday Night Live and all the stuff that he’s done over the years, he’s clearly talented. We went for the best person for the job, and it just so happened that it was him. And he delivers.'

In the comedy, the leggy blonde plays the eponymous foul-mouthed teacher with a crush on new guy Timberlake. The couple's past chemistry and shared sense of humour only made filming easier.

'Justin and I have always had a good laugh together, and to make a movie where we get to have a laugh together, there really was no one else who was more perfect for this part. That’s why he got the part.'
