Bryan Ferry was rushed to hospital last night after falling seriously ill in London. He called doctors after feeling unwell for several days, pulling out of an event at the last minute.
Although it was at first feared that the 65-year-old Roxy Music singer had suffered a heart attack, a spokesperson has set the record straight, stating: 'He was having tests as a precautionary measure, having felt unwell recently.'
A friend of the star said concerns had been raised after his condition worsened yesterday, leading to his decision to go into hospital.
'Bryan has been rough for some time and he felt even worse today. So, he thought it was best for the doctors to look into it. We’re all obviously very concerned for him,' he told the Daily Mail.
Once a glam rock icon in the Seventies, the singer had recently been back on tour with band Roxy Music and was about to embark on another intense four-and-a-half month long tour solo tour, set to begin in Tel Aviv next month.
