Brad Pitt has insisted he has no plans to follow his fiance Angelina Jolie and move into directing, saying that being a dad to their six strong brood is his number one role.
Brad Pitt spilled the beans on his work/life balance at the Cannes Film Festival yesterday during promotion for his new film, ‘Killing Them Softly'.
Speaking about his current work schedule, Brad Pitt said: 'It's enough for me. I want to also be a dad, first and foremost. After two days it gets itchy, I miss them.'
Moving into directing would be the logical next step for the actor but Brad Pitt yesterday confirmed there was 'no chance' he would follow fiance Angelina Jolie by getting behind the camera.

Wisely, Brad has decided to opt himself out of the directing game.
Family-man Brad told reporters how he just couldn't bear to be apart from his children Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne for the length of time needed to direct a movie: 'I just know how I'd be, I see how much time it takes to mount the thing and put it together. It wouldn't be a good match.'
'It makes sense on some level, but I really enjoy being a creative producer and I enjoy my day job.' Brad told Reuters.
Phew! Looks like there will be many more Brad Pitt movies to come!

The 48-year-old Fight Club actor also admitted that he was a big fan of the Cannes Film Festival yesterday, saying: 'Here it's artistic merit first and less about an opening weekend. They have such respect for the auteur, and you know it's going to get a really respectful viewing.'
