Brad Pitt & Jennifer Aniston's movie night near miss

The pair came metres from crossing paths at a cinema in Los Angeles, according to reports

They’ve gone out of their way not to cross paths since their split, but Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston narrowly avoided an awkward reunion at the movies over the weekend.

According to reports, the pair reportedly came just metres from crossing paths ArcLight Cinema in Hollywood on Friday, as they both arrived to take in a film.

It’s thought Brad took his brood - Maddox, 10, Pax, 8, Zahara, 6, and Shiloh, 5 – to an afternoon showing of new children’s flick Hugo - but luckily Angelina Jolie was nowhere to be seen.

Meanwhile, Brad Pitt’s ex-flame Jennifer Aniston arrived on the arm of new beau Justin Theroux to catch a later showing of the movie, coming just metres from the Jolie-Pitt clan as they settled down for the film.

‘Justin and Jennifer skipped the popcorn and went straight in,’ one onlooker told celebrity site X17.

‘Like five minutes later, Brad and the kids came out of the theater. ‘They just missed each other!’

Phew.

It's thought the pair have only ever been in the same place twice since their split, once at last year's Oscars, and again at the Hope for Haiti telethon, but neither times crossed paths.
