Boyzone band members Ronan Keating, Shane Lynch, Keith Duffy and Mikey Graham gave 'Our Steo' a proper send off on Saturday night at the wake after his funeral.
400 friends and relatives raised glasses to the singer, 33, at a £45,000 12-hour bash, which was paid for by the band.
After an emotional day at the funeral, Shane Lynch told The Sun, 'We all deal with grief in our own way, and this was our way. It was a brilliant night, fitting for a brilliant person. We will never forget him.'
The bash lasted until 3am as the band recounted stories and shared memories of growing up together and being in a band with Stephen.
An insider said, 'The Boyzone lads and Louis Walsh stayed up reminiscing about their time with Stephen and spent a lot of time talking to Stephen's parents, too.'
Stephen Gately died last Saturday from natural causes after a night out with his partner Andy Cowles and a friend, Gorgi Dochev.
