Blake Lively's website ‘Preserve’ has launched … and it’s nothing like Goop, FYI

Blake Lively’s website Preserve has officially launched today and it’s totally different to anything we had predicted. Originally tipped as a Goop-esque clean-living lifestyle hub, the resulting content is artsy-er and, erm, meatier, than Gwyneth Paltrow's offering, with such gems as an ode to baby back ribs. Yes please.

As Blake is the site's editor-in-chief, we also think Preserve offers a real insight into her taste and her sense of humour. Here’s 5 unexpected things we’ve learnt about her from today's launch...

Her home with Ryan Reynolds must be filled with a seriously eclectic mix of stuff... That's if the products she’s selling are anything to go by. We’re keen on the engraved ‘cereal killer’ spoon, the chopping board shaped like the USA and an illuminated thought bubble or two. Who’s the target customer? Honestly, who isn’t?

There’s an ode to everything… To the lost art of letter writing, to a mega-choc ice cream sundae with extra sprinkles. The features that ed-in-chief Blake is commissioning/cooking-up are blowing Gwyneth’s macrobiotic recipes out of the water.

She loves a bit of artisan jewellery And so do we. A Lapis Lazuli necklace or a pair of organic earrings? The story behind every product is also told by the designer that made it, so you can actually appreciate why it's been picked. Clever right?

She’s keen to take down Anna Wintour… There's a formal editor's letter outlining the goals of the publication in this debut 'issue'. Has the actress been taking tips from her media mogul mates? We'd like to think so.

She actually does really like preserves… There’s a whole shopping area dedicated to fancy mustards, ketchups, jams and the like. When it's your website, you really can do what you want on it.
