Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds hit the Turbo premiere - just hours after the actor revealed they'd like a big family

Blake Lively played the doting wife as she hit the red carpet to support hubby Ryan Reynolds' latest movie, Turbo, last night.

The private pair both put on dazzling appearances at the Lincoln Square, New York venue, but didn't pose together.

Despite trying to stay out of the spotlighton her hubby's big evening, Blake Lively still wowed, stepping out in a shimmering Burberry dress, nude Louboutin shoes, and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Ryan Reynolds was his usual handsome self in a smart navy suit.

The couple's glam red carpet appearance came just hours after Ryan Reynolds opened up about their relationship - and plans to have a family - in a new interview.

'We'd love to have a big family,' the actor told Details magazine, giving a rare glimpse into the private pair's life.

'We both come from big families - my parents did four, Blake's did five. A lot of people say it's crazy, but we'll only know when we're there, you know? We'll walk through that fire pretty happily, I think.'

On keeping his marriage to Blake Lively our of the public eye, he added: 'I don't intentionally try to be evasive about that stuff.

'If you ask me to describe my relationship, I mean - words are too clumsy to accurately describe how I feel in that regard, particularly in an interview.

'It's a strange thing. I understand the climate we live in and why people are curious. But it's just tough and almost emotionally violent -- for anyone, I think -- to see your personal life summarised in a sentence.'
