The country singer and parent of Disney star Miley has halted a divorce from wife Tish
Country singer - and parent of wayward Disney star Miley – Billy Ray Cyrus has dropped a divorce petition against wife Tish, revealing he wants to put his family 'back together.'
In October 2010 Billy split from his wife after a 17-year marriage, swiftly filing for divorce.
And just months later, the Achy Breaky Heart star spoke out about his life in a brutally honest GQ interview, claiming daughter Miley’s rise to fame following her Hanna Montana show ‘destroyed’ his family.
'It destroyed my family. I’ll tell you right now, the damn show destroyed my family,' he said.
'I was going to work every single day knowing that my family had fallen apart, but yet I had to sit in front of that camera.

‘I look back and I go, “How did I ever make it through that?” I must be a better actor than I thought.’
But now the star revealed he has called off the divorce to his wife, and is trying everything he can to mend his broken family.
‘I've dropped the divorce,’ he said during an interview with US show The View scheduled to air in the US today.
‘I want to put my family back together … Things are the best they've ever been.’
Adding that his relationship with his teenage daughter has also improved, he said: ‘I feel like I got my Miley back in a way. I feel like we are the daddy and daughter that we were before Hannah Montana happened.’
Billy also rubbished his former cutting comments about the show that made his daughter famous.
‘I don't think Hannah Montana ruined my family…’ he added. ‘Now fame, fame is a different animal. You've got to be careful with that thing.’
