Billie Piper and Laurence Fox tie the knot on New Years Eve
Billie Piper and Laurence Fox tied the knot on New Year’s Eve in a low-key church ceremony.
The couple married in a 50-minute ceremony at a village church near their £750,000 home in Eastbourne, West Sussex.
The 25-year-old actress turned up to the church four minutes early in a silver Chrysler, but kept her dress hidden under a big black coat; her bridesmaids embraced winter wedding chic and teamed purple lace dresses with black opaque tights.
Guests at the nuptials included Dr Who star, David Tenant, and Morse actor Kevin Whately, but it was the appearance of Billie’s ex-husband and his new wife, Natasha Shismanian, that raised some eyebrows.
Chris and Billie divorced last June, but the pair have remained good friends – the flame-haired actor even joined the happy couple for pre-ceremony drinks in a nearby pub, before later attending the reception, which was held in a set of wigwam tents set up in a field near Hascombe Court.
The actress rejected a string of big-money magazine deals to enjoy a private ceremony, which was described as a relaxed, traditional affair.
