Beyonce left baby Blue Ivy at home last night to attend Michelle Obama's swanky fundraising event in New York City.

The 30-year-old singer, who gave birth just eight weeks ago, looked stunning in a Victoria Beckham dress as she made her way to the bash at Greenwich Hotel in Manhattan.

She teamed the curve-skimming dress with two statement necklaces, black heels and the blue nail varnish that she's been sporting since the birth of her daughter.

Beyonce was joined by her sister, Solange, and her mother, Tina, at the cocktail party that was thrown to raise money for President Obama's re-election campaign.

Meanwhile, it's been announced that the Halo singer will make her stage comeback in May over the US Memorial Day Weekend.

She will play three consecutive nights at the new Revel casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, starting on May 25.
