Beyonce offered $500 million to join US X Factor?

Simon Cowell has reportedly offered Beyonce half a billion dollars to be a judge on X Factor US

Simon Cowell is said to have offered Beyonce a staggering $100m per year if she signs up as a judge for five seasons of X Factor USA.

The X Factor boss is apparently so keen to snag the superstar that he is offering her an incredible half a billion dollars in a bid to revive the talent show when it returns later this year.

There are currently two empty seats on the judging panel after Simon axed Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger last week.

According to MediaTakeOut.com an 'extremely reliable' insider - the same source who broke the news that Jennifer Lopez was joining American Idol - has it on good authority that Cowell is desperate for Bey to join the panel. And he's willing to pay BIG.

'He wants a big name female star on the panel. Mariah [Carey] is good, but she's not that hot today. He wants Beyonce because that would immediately give him the bounce needed to beat American Idol,' the insider explained.

If Beyonce was to accept such an incredible deal it would make her the highest paid female superstar in the world and she and husband Jay-Z would instantly be worth well over $1 billion combined.

Beyonce, who gave birth to her first baby Blue Ivy last month, appeared on the X Factor UK as a guest performer and duetted with Alexandra Burke in 2008, while her Destiny's Child bandmate Kelly Rowland was a judge on last year's UK panel.
