This is what Benedict Cumberbatch thinks of his 'Cumberbitches'
Now we know...
Now we know...
Ahhh, the Cumberbitches – for those of you who don't know, this is what fans of Benedict Cumberbatch call themselves. And they're currently very excited for their beloved Sherlock star, as it was just revealed that Benedict Cumberbatch and wife Sophie Hunter are expecting their second child, after welcoming a son, Christopher, into the world last year.
Well, now we know what Benedict himself thinks of the whole 'Cumberbitches' debacle. And his reaction is just SO hilarious that we can't deal.
The actor is currently busy promoting his latest film, Doctor Strange, in which he plays Marvel's newest superhero to take the big screen. The film also stars Rachel McAdams, Tilda Swinton and Chiwetel Ejiofor, and is released in the UK at the end of October.
His co-star Rachel McAdams recently appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres show and, when discussing the new film, the affectionate name Benedict's female fans give themselves came up in conversation – naturally. Rachel then revealed that she decided to ask him about the 'Cumberbitches' directly to get his thoughts on the matter.
Apparently when asked, he gave the priceless response of: 'Oh, it's very flattering, but I just wish they'd call themselves something more respectable like Cumberhumans.' LOL. Just too funny.
Show host Ellen was very quick to point out that 'Cumberhumans' sadly does not work at all.
