Ben Shephard paid tribute to viewers and presenters in an emotional farewell at the ITV studios this morning, as he waved a last goodbye to the GMTV sofa for the last time.
The popular host – who has been working on the famous breakfast show for ten years – is making a move to Sky, where he’ll take up a role on their sports panel.
In an emotional farewell, Ben thanked co-hosts and those who worked behind the scenes on the famous show, joking: 'They do all the hard work, we're just the muppets up the front that do as we're told and get the glory.'
Revealing his wife Annie had told him he had ‘nearly become a grown-up’ during his stint on GMTV, he added he was going to miss his co-host Kate Garraway 'more than anything in the world.'
Addressing viewers, the emotional star said: 'And I'm going to miss all of you, every single one of you.
'Thank you so much for inviting me into your houses, into your bedrooms, into your bathrooms, into your kitchens.
