The Inception star is expecting her first child, with French boyfriend Guillaume Canet

Oscar-winning actress Marion Cotillard is expecting her first child with actor/director boyfriend Guillaume Canet, a rep for the pair has confirmed.

The French star and her beau first met on the set of Love Me If You Dare in 2003, and began dating in 2007.

Last year, engagement rumours started to circle, after Marion was spotted sporting large diamond sparkler, but friends shot down talk of a ceremony, revealing the famous pair ‘haven't disclosed any plans concerning marriage.’

And now the couple are preparing to welcome a brand new addition to the family, with sources revealing the baby will be due this spring.

Marion and Guillaume are the second celebrity duo to announce baby news since the weekend.

Yesterday,David and Victoria Beckham announced they were expecting their fourth child, and took to Twitter and Facebook to share the exciting news.
