The A-lister will give evidence at the trial of suspected serial killer Michael Gargiulo next year
A-lister Ashton Kutcher will testify at the trial of suspected serial killer Michael Gargiulo next year, after his ex-girlfriend Ashley Ellerin was murdered in a brutal attack, in Febuary 2001.
Gargiulo is charged with murdering the 22-year-old model at her home in Los Angeles. He’ll also stand trial for the murder of two other women, and the attempted murder of a fourth.
According to reports, Ashton turned down an early-evening date with Ellerin on the day of her murder, but promised to visit her at her Hollywood home later that night.
He told police he arrived at the house to find the lights on, and a car parked outside, and after getting no answer, looked through a window into the apartment and saw what he thought was red wine pooled on the floor.
Ashton assumed Ellerin was angry at him for turning down the earlier date, and drove away from the property.
But the model – who had been stabbed 35 times in the horrific incident – was lying just out of sight of the window, and was discovered the next day by her friend.
