No sooner had Charlie Sheen been sacked from Two and a Half Men, than rumours started to swirl over which Hollywood hot star would land the replacement role. Now reports suggest TV bosses have finally made their decision – comedy king Ashton Kutcher.
CHARLIE SHEEN: CAREER IN PICS!
Soon after disgraced Mr Sheen’s departure, the rumour mill was alight with talk the lead actor – and formerly America’s highest paid TV star – could return, if convinced execs he was willing to get his life back on track.
But after it was made clear Charlie was no longer in the picture, producers began shopping around for a new lead star.
In recent weeks everyone from Rob Lowe to Hugh Grant have been linked to the lucrative new role, but now it seems bosses have finally chosen Punk'd host Ashton Kutcher as their new star.
Although execs have yet to formally confirm Ashton’s new role, it’s thought an announcement could come as soon as next week, when network bosses present the show’s new line up to advertisers.
