Ashton Kutcher on affair claims: 'Don't assume you know what's going on'

The star posted a series of cryptic messages on Twitter in response to allegations he cheated on Demi Moore

Ashton Kutcher has taken to Twitter to post a cryptic denial in response to allegations he cheated on wife Demi Moore during an ‘alcohol fuelled evening’ at a club on their sixth wedding anniversary.

Blasting claims of a tryst with 23-year-old blonde beauty Sara Leal last Saturday, he wrote: ‘When you ASSUME to know that which you know nothing of, you make an ASS out of U and ME.’

The Two and a Half men actor also posted Spotify links to Public Enemy song, Don’t Believe the Hype.

But the star’s denials come as pictures of Ashton and the reported object of his affections – who is rumoured to have ‘hired a lawyer and gone into hiding – at LA club Fluxx have surfaced online. 

‘Kutcher told Sara Leal that him and Demi Moore are separated and the public doesn’t know yet,’ gossip site thedirty.com revealed of the alleged fling yesterday. 

Tellingly, Ashton’s wife Demi has remained decidedly quiet on the subject, instead Tweeting a forlorn picture, captioned: ‘I see through you.’

But she did hint at problems in the relationship, quoting Greek philosopher Epictetus, who said: ‘When we are offended at any man's fault, turn to yourself and study your own failings. Then you will forget your anger.’

The couple, who married in a a Kabbalah ceremony back in 2005, are yet to officially address the rumours. But some have claimed a split - and possible $290 million divorce battle are imminent - and that they are already living separate lives.

‘Ashton and Demi have separated and the marriage is over,’ one insider told American Star magazine. The relationship ended because of Ashton’s serial cheating. It’s a painful time for Demi.’
