Ugly (Betty) end for Ashley Jensen
Ashley Jensen has sensationally quit hit Channel 4 show Ugly Betty.
The Brit actress was catapulted to global stardom through her role as wardrobe girl Christina McKinney.
But now the Scottish star, who was nominated for an Emmy for her role in Ricky Gervais's Extras, has quit – simply telling studio bosses she wanted to ‘try something new’.
She may be jumping off the Betty bandwagon at the right time – the show has come under fire recently for tumbling ratings and far-fetched storylines.
It’ll always have a special place in our TV heart, though.
