Ariana Grande VS Two Sexist Radio Hosts
The pop singer did not hold back.
The pop singer did not hold back.
Ah, Ariana Grande. While the pop singer might have a bit of a bad rep for being a bit of a diva, we’re personally pretty impressed with how she shut down two sexist male interviewers this week.
Ariana was a guest on California’s Power 106 when the two hosts started asking her a series of questions she was none-too-happy with. But rather than play along, Arianna decided to call out the two DJs. Who, incidentally are named Justin Credible and Eric D-Lux (yeah, we know).
When one of them asked Ariana whether she would rather live without make up or her phone, she snapped back: ‘Is this what you think girls have problems choosing between?’ before going on to explain that she wasn’t glued to her mobile.
Later the Focus singer was asked which of the new emojis she most liked when one of the DJs implied that the Unicorn (eg, one of the best new emojis) was only for girls. To which Ariana hit back that men like the unicorn symbol too. True dat, Ariana.
But her best remark came at the end of the interview, when Justin and Eric asked her what she would like to change about the world. She answered: ‘I have a long list of things I’d like to change...I think, judgement in general. Intolerance, meanness, double standards, misogyny, racism, sexism. You know, all that shit. There’s lots we’ve got to get started on. That’s what we need to focus on. We’ve got work to do.’ Before telling one of the DJs: ‘We’ll start with you, though.’ LOL.
