The young couple were spotted holding hands in Beverly Hills yesterday.
After just two and a half years of marriage, 26-year-old singer Ashlee Simpson filed for divorce from husband Pete Wentz in February. But the couple were looking decidedly loved-up on a Starbucks run in LA yesterday, sparking rumours that it may not be all over after all.

The laidback couple, who wed in 2008, were spotted holding hands while taking their 2-year-old son Bronx out for a quick coffee break.
It certainly looked very cosy, with an onlooker commenting: 'Ashlee and Pete held hands, and Pete especially looked very happy. While waiting for their drinks, Pete had his arm around Ashlee and they definitely looked like a couple again. Ashlee kept smiling and lovingly leaned on Pete.'
It isn’t the first time they have been out and about playing happy families. The pair were spotted having lunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel soon after Ash filed for divorce, and even spent Valentine's Day together. In fact, they have always stressed the amicable nature of their split, claiming their main priority is making the change easy for their son.
But don’t break out the streamers just yet. Another source squashed reconciliation rumours, telling People: 'This is not a sign that they are getting back together.'
'They both care about each other tremendously. They both love Bronx very much, and Ashlee has always called Pete her best friend. They are in the middle of still trying to figure this out.'
