Justin Trudeau and Queer Eye's Antoni are having brunch together and odds on an avocado recipe

Be still our beating hearts. Two of our favourite men in the entire universe are coming together over mimosas and smashed avo on toast to discuss all things LGBTQ+ related and we’re here for it. Canadian Prime Minister and Queer Eye’s Antoni Porowski - a.k.a. the world’s collective favourite cupcake of a human being - will be meeting over Montreal Pride to host a brunch to fundraise for the community. (It’s basically a Queer Eye episode in the making.)
Canada’s Liberal Party, led by Justin Trudeau, announced the news on its website and invited party donors to join a competition to win two tickets for the event titled #LoveWins in Montreal. The lucky winners will also score three nights’ accommodation in Montreal, complimentary dinner and Liberal Party merchandise.
The event was described as a ‘special brunch reception’ and we've got our fingers crossed that Bobby's doing all the event styling. Prior to the announcement, the Liberal party also dropped a little Easter egg on their Instagram stories by posting a blurry photo of Antoni accompanied by a bunch of food emojis. Whoever is running their social media is obviously a Queer Eye stan, since one of Antoni’s infamous avocados made an appearance.
It was a bit of a the more you know moment for us, as we’d never realised that Antoni is actually Canadian. It makes sense that he would be teaming up with Justin Trudeau however, as the Canadian Prime Minister has famously been an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. He's been spotted at many Pride marches across Canada, rocking some signature rainbow socks in a bold political fashion statement.
Antoni’s Queer Eye co-star and man-we-do-not-deserve Jonathan Van Ness tweeted out in support, ‘I’m so happy for this @antoni showing that some world leaders are into celebrating pride & why this is so important! Here’s looking at you vladdy pooh & baby donny 🌈🌈🙏🏼’
While nabbing one of those two tickets to meet Justin Trudeau and Antoni might be something of a pipedream, there’s still a chance you can wine and dine with one of them. It was revealed just the other day that Antoni would be opening his own restaurant in New York this September, a reboot of fast-casual restaurant Village Den.

Better make your reservations now, we bet those tables are going to be packed. Here’s hoping Antoni steps the menu up a bit though, there’s only so much overpriced guacamole a girl can handle.
