STARS HONOUR VALENTINO AT NEW YORK CITY BALLET GALA
She may have become a household name after her star turn in The Devil Wears Prada, but Anne Hathaway has chosen an altogether different designer for her upcoming wedding: retired pal Valentino, known for his gorgeously feminine silhouettes and use of the colour red.
The 80-year-old designer told E! News that he 'did the dress' for Anne's wedding at the New York City Ballet gala last night, which was held in his honour and attended by stars including Hathaway (in Valentino, natch), Sarah Jessica Parker and Olivia Palermo.
'She's a very good friend of mine,' Valentino told E! News. 'She's like my daughter!'
The designer gushed: 'She's sensational. She's fantastic. She's a girl that...She deserves what she has in this life.

'[That] means, she's already a great star. But she's going to be a great, great, great, great thousand times great star. She has all the qualities.'
We've seen Hathaway dazzle on the red carpet in Valentino several times before, most notably when she walked arm-in-arm with the designer at the 2011 Oscars, wearing a striking red floral-appliqued couture creation from his A/W 2002 collection.
We can't wait to see the (undoubtedly) spectacular gown Valentino's created for the wedding!
