The pair were announced as the show’s new presenters earlier today, and will be the youngest hosts in decades to step on to the famous, glittering stage. James and Anne will take the golden reins from comedy duo Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin, and it seems producers have high hopes for this year’s special ceremony.
'James Franco and Anne Hathaway personify the next generation of Hollywood icons - fresh, exciting and multi-talented,' producers Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer announced in a statement today.
‘We hope to create an Oscar broadcast that will both showcase their incredible talents and entertain the world on February 27,' they added.
'We are completely thrilled that James and Anne will be joining forces with our brilliant creative team to do just that.'
