She's been cast in one of the biggest films of 2017, and is on our TV screens every week. But just who is Annabelle Wallis?
You may not know her name, but you definitely know her face. Annabelle Wallis has been gracing our television screens for years, but it wasn't until she landed the role in the upcoming reboot of The Mummy that we really started paying attention.
For those who aren't in the know, here's what you need to know about the star set to take off in 2017...
Yes, Bollywood! After graduating from drama school, Annabelle did what any working actress does and followed the work, taking her all the way to Mauritius to star in Dil Jo Bhi Kahey (or in English, Whatever the Heart Says), a Bollywood production where she starred as the romantic lead. Sadly, she didn't speak any Hindi, but she did get the chance to act opposite Bollywood legend, Amitabh Bachchan.
A Period of Dramatics
Hot off her Bollywood debut, Annabelle landed the role of Jane Seymour in period drama, The Tudors, an American television series about the many loves of King Henry VIII (played menacingly by Jonathan Rhy Meyers), though only after the original actress Anita Briem left the role.
Just like fellow up-and-comer Lily James, Annabelle isn't afraid to try out a range of period roles. Annabelle's affinity for them hasn't faltered since, landing parts in the short-lived Pan Am series and currently starring as Grace Burgess in the critically acclaimed BBC Two series Peaky Blinders.

The Film Reboot
Her biggest role to date will be the 2017 reboot of The Mummy, where she'll star opposite real-life A-list royalty Tom Cruise as the female lead. But instead of a simple reboot of the noughties action romp featuring the oddly crush-worthy Brendan Fraser, this will be a modern take on everyone's favourite mummy, with the villain being played by Sofia Boutella
No word yet if her predecessor Rachel Weisz will make an appearance, but one can dream...

Which makes sense when, you know, you're *dating* the lead singer. Though the couple have yet to confirm the romance, Annabelle has been spotted out with Chris Martin since early 2016, and raves about the singer's music on her social media feeds. What can we say, she's got impeccable taste.
