Johnny Depp just released this statement about his divorce to Amber Heard
The couple were married in February 2015
Another bump in the road for this Hollywood separation
As if the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard split couldn't get any more complicated, it seems that their divorce settlement still remains up in the air. After filing legal documents stating that Johnny Depp hadn't fulfilled his part in the settlement, Amber Heard has now been met with a scathing statement from Johnny Depp:
'Amber is now courting renewed media attention with this unnecessary Request for Order. Her application is not only a blatant attempt to extend her fifteen minutes of fame but also a waste of the Court's limited time and resources and an embarrassing grab for addition and unwarranted attorney's fees.'
Throughout the case, Amber has claimed to being 'committed to a quick resolution of this matter' so the divorce can take place.

Back in August, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard had agreed to a $7m settlement with all the proceeds going to the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles and The American Civil Liberties Union on behalf of Amber. But now it seems that Johnny Depp's legal team is pushing back against finalising the deal.
Amber Heard's lawyers are filing a 'request to order' to expedite the settlement, but this isn't the first issue Amber has come across during the divorce process.

She has said previously, 'When Johnny learned that I planned to donate my entire marital settlement to charities, Johnny purported to satisfy his obligation to pay me by supposedly paying the charities I selected instead of me. He also claimed that I violated the confidentiality provisions of the [Deal Point Memorandum] by announcing that I was donating my settlement to charities. In fact, I made those donations in good faith and I was responding to the leaks by Johnny's agents bragging that I had settled for substantially less than a reported, earlier offered sum and attempting to label me a gold digger.'
Amber Heard recently made a PSA about domestic abuse, in light of the domestic violence restraining order she filed against her ex-husband, and is continuing to fight for women to speak up, with half of the upcoming proceeds due to go to a charity specialising in caring for victims of abuse.

After 15 months of marriage, Amber Heard and Johnny Depp are to divorce. The news was first broken by TMZ, who have reported that Amber, 30, started proceedings citing irreconcilable differences in the petition, which was filed on 22 May- three days after 52-year-old Johnny's mother Betty-Sue Palmer died.
A representative for Johnny has spoken on the actor's behalf and asked for privacy during this difficult time.
'Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life. Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly.'
The couple met in 2012 while filming The Rum Diary and married in February 2015.
Speaking about their relationship recently, Johnny was quoted as saying: ‘She was in my head, so I tracked her down... We tracked each other down. Actually, incidentally, it was amazing.’
This news comes just months after the two found themselves in trouble with the Australian authorities after Amber brought their dogs Pistol and Boo into the country, and were forced to make this strange apology video.
No word on who will get custody of the dogs.
Meanwhile, TMZ also reports that Amber has filed for spousal support from Johnny Depp, who is thought to be worth around $400 million. The 52-year-old actor has allegedly asked a judge to reject this, and hired Hollywood’s most renowned divorce lawyer, Laura Wasser.
Wasser is one of Hollywood's most high profile divorce lawyers and her long list of celebrity clients features ‘at least three of the Kardashians’ including Kim during her divorce from Kris Humphries, Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears, Ryan Reynolds, Heidi Klum, Ashton Kutcher, and a truckload of rock stars.
Johnny is currently on the promotional tour for his latest film, Disney’s Alice Through The Look Glass, which is out on Friday.
