Amanda Seyfried reveals she wants to nab Rachel McAdams' former role as the vicious Regina George in the stage version of the hit movie Mean Girls.
We didn't think it was possible to be anymore excited about the impending stage production of Mean Girls but then Amanda Seyfried drops the bomb that she wants to grab Rachel McAdams' former role as the vicious Regina George.
Our world is turning upside-down!
Unless you're the only person on the planet who hasn't seen Tina Fey's masterpiece, also starring Lindsay Lohan pre-meltdown phase, Amanda played Plastic member Karen in the film but now she's gunning for the big pumps and eyeing Rachel McAdams' role as bitchy Regina George.
Les Misérables star Amanda recently revealed to Allure magazine: 'I desperately want to be Regina!', before putting her foot in it ever so slightly when discussing her other co-star from the film, Lindsay Lohan.
'She's talented,' says Amanda before pausing and confessing 'Was.'

Quickly adding, 'I mean, I don't know... she was so bright-eyed.'
After months of hype, it looks like Mean Girls the musical is finally coming along after Fey's husband Jeff Richmond confirmed to Vulture: 'It's actually becoming a thing!'
'We're taking meetings with people; I've profiled Broadway folks, who are talking to us about it. It's a long process — a year, two years, however long it might take. We watch 'Smash,' so we know how it works!"
Richmond added that 'nothing really' is written for the musical. 'It's all just laid out structure-wise right now,' he said.
'That's how early we are. Because you have to take a three-act structure and turn it into a two-act structure and start thinking about it like that, and we're working! We're working on it, okay?'
'I thought the movie in some ways mostly appealed to young girls and gay men, and I feel like that could be a recipe for success on Broadway,' Fey said in 2007 about taking the hit movie to Broadway.
