EXCLUSIVE! Agyness Deyn chats about her experiences in her latest film
Agyness Deyn may have taken the modeling world by storm for wearing clothes, but for her most recent film role she’s been finding out what it’s like to earn money taking them off.
The Manchester-born model-turned-actress revealed last year she was leaving the fashion world behind to tread the boards in the film industry. One of her more prominent parts was playing Flo, a stripper in gritty Brit flick, Pusher.
While researching for the part Agyness revealed to us that she was a little too convincing in her role… she said: ‘I worked with an amazing woman who works at Browns [a strip bar in Shoreditch].
‘I'm quite an open-minded person, so I was quite comfortable going into it. I was well aware I was a guest in this environment, so I was just observing. Although it was quite funny, because I had punters coming up to me and asking for dances.’
Of course her believability wasn’t the only thing Agyness was made aware of, she also discovered the softer side to strip clubs adding:

‘I felt a kind of a part of the [strip club] family. I discovered that, in these clubs, from the DJ to the doormen, to the women that run some of these places, it becomes a very strong family unit.’
We imagine her husband Giovanni Ribisi hopes Agyness Deyn doesn’t opt for another career change any time soon…
