Adele Spends Day Crying Yet Still Takes Son To Disneyland And Smashes Gender Norms
Once again, Adele, we salute you
Once again, Adele, we salute you
Adele had the Grammy performance that we imagine pop stars’ recurring nightmares are made of, when a microphone fell on her piano, bouncing on the strings, before the sound cut out completely.
But because Adele is, well, Adele, not only has she been her usual incredibly honest self about the whole incident - she also made sure her son had the best day ever following the disaster, and stuck it to gender norms at the same time too.
Speaking on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the singer admitted to the show host that she shed a lot of tears the day after The Grammys 2016.
'I cried pretty much all day yesterday’ she said. ‘I don't feel like it could go that much worse than the Grammys though. So I feel like I'm alright now. Anything that happens, dust it off!
'Next time I have any sound issues I am gonna stop. I'll be like, sorry that's not working for me. If we have time to do it again, let’s do it. Otherwise, bye!' She added. (Anyone else feel like Adele should start a sideline business as a life coach?)
And despite her tears, she still took her son to Disneyland the next day, and pretty much secured a title for Parent of the Year, when she let Angelo, 3, dress as Princess Anna from Frozen. The singer was seen pushing him around the theme park wearing Anna’s blue and yellow dress, and completed the costume with black, patent ballet flats - and in the process sent an incredibly powerful message about gender equality, too.
