Singer Adele gets ready to step back in to the limelight, but this time with her acting career, for new spy film
Adele already has one Oscar under her belt for 'best song', but now the singer is due to turn her focus to acting to play a baddie in new spy film, The Secret Service.
The 25-year-old songwriter, who has a amassed a fortune of £30 million according to this year's Sunday Times rich list, is reported to have caught the eye of Matthew Vaughn, the film's director.
A source is reported to have told the Sun on Sunday that Adele is 'exactly what Matthew is looking for’ for his new Brit flick based on a novel by Kick-Ass' Mark Miller, due to start filming next year.
Matthew reportedly wants Adele to play a cameo role as a spy villain, which would add to Adele's acting experience with her small role in Ugly Betty in 2009.
Playing the bad girl should prove no problem for London-born Adele who is occasionally known for her foul mouth on stage and very famously 'flipping the bird' at James Cordon when she was interrupted for her Brits acceptance speech, last year.
The source went on to say, '[Matthew] wants the highest-profile names in various fields to boost the film’s cause and turn it into a mega-money franchise.’

'You can’t get much bigger than Adele in music, which is why he’s so keen to get her involved,’ they continued.
The movie appearance would be a welcome return to the limelight for the singer who, since her phenomenal record success, has retreated to the countryside with her partner Simon Konecki when they had their first child last year.
Adele emerged from her would-be musical retirement to win the oscar for best original song with the Skyfall soundtrack this year.
Among other acolades, the star was immortalised as a Madam Tussuards wax work in July and also awarded an MBE in the Queen's birthday honour list for June.
Looks like The Secret Service might do well to feature Adele's golden touch.
