Adele has been offering up her advice on motherhood to showbiz friend Kelly Clarkson, with the British pop icon giving her a surprising warning against having children.
Since giving birth to son Angelo in last October, 25-year-old Adele has practically disappeared from the celebrity spotlight.
Dropping all work commitments to focus entirely on her new baby boy, the Grammy award-winning singer is thought to have been happily holed up in her London home enjoying her first year of motherhood with fiancé Simon Konecki.
But now, US singer Kelly has revealed that Adele actually warned her off having children at the peak of her career when the two caught up at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles in February.
The 31-year-old American Idol winner, who is eager to start a family with her new husband Brandon Blackstock, admitted that the British songstress advised her not to get pregnant unless she was ready to take a career break and stay at home.
'She said, "Girl, don't have a baby because everything else will go on the back burner. I'm living in babyland!",' Kelly told US Weekly about Adele's words of advice.

But it seems Skyfall singer's thoughts on motherhood haven't put Ms Clarkson off too much. '[We want a baby] now!', she added about her and her music manager husband. 'Practice makes perfect. We're trying, trying, trying ... Like rabbits!'
She may be jokingly warning her friends off, but we have absolutely no doubt that Adele isn't completely in love with her new role as mum. Aw.
