Carla Bruni speaks out on Sarkozy marriage rumours
Carla Bruni has denied that she married French President Nicolas Sarkozy in a secret ceremony.
Although it was widely rumoured that the couple had married privately last week, Miss Bruni called the press speculation a 'hurricane of madness.'
Speaking to French newspaper The Liberation, the model-turned-singer confirmed that she would not be able to accompany Sarkozy on his upcoming state visit to India, where it was suspected they would officially announce their marriage.
'I cannot take part in an official trip with the president,' she stated, as she cannot be included in the official delegation until she marries the President.
Miss Bruni did hint that an impending wedding could be on the cards though, telling the paper that marriage was, 'in our plans'.
