Scary brides take on 10-foot wedding cake in New York's Times Square
A pack of scary bridezillas took over New York City's Times Square this week in the hope of winning $25,000 to put towards their weddings.
Dressed in bridal gowns and veils, ten contestants clambered up a 10-foot cake, complete with 50 gallons of buttercream icing, in a bid to be first to the top.
'It was terrifying,' said groom Brian Soliwoda, who waited atop the frosting to welcome the winner. 'The sheer force as she came leaping at me like a gazelle!'
Meghan Gressler, the 27-year-old winner, said: 'I just tried to run as fast as I could!'
'She did great,' smiled her groom, with whom she ties the knot this weekend. 'We'll definitely get to enjoy the honeymoon now!'
'I need a shower,' laughed one of the other contestants, Paige Shurack. 'I have frosting in places where frosting should never be!'
