We've seen some crazy beauty trends in our time, but using our sock drawer as part of our make-up routine has never even crossed our minds.
It did, however, cross the mind of make-up artist and beauty blogger, Mayra.
While digging through her sock draw, Mayra noticed how spongey the toes and heels were and had a lightbulb moment - resulting in one of the most unique beauty hacks EVER.
She immediately headed out to her local to Walmart to buy a three pack of Climate Right by Cuddl Duds Low Cut Socks to put her theory to the test. And it worked.
In her 6 minute video, Mayra uses a SOCK with a cushioned heel and toe to blend her foundation flawlessly.
Turning the sock inwards to create a ball shaped applicator, Mayra buffs the foundation into her skin, resulting in an airbrushed finish. Yes, really. No streaks, no flaky parts, just impeccable make-up.

And despite our fears that the cotton would absorb way more foundation than our regular applicators, Mayra proves that it doesn't by showing us the tip of the sock after applying her foundation directly onto her face, as well as applying it directly onto the sock before dabbing it on.
She even uses it to bake her face and buff out her contour. Now that's multi-tasking!
But, before you all rush to your sock drawer and pull out any old sock in the hope that it'll make you look airbrushed, keep in mind that the toe and heel needs to be cushioned to have the same effect, so try something like Sweaty Betty's Trainer Liners, £6.
And when you're done, simply pop it in the wash. So simple!
