Princess Diana is without a doubt one of the most influential British beauty icons of all time.
From her habitual use of blue eyeliner to her famous wedding perfume, we still take beauty cues from the royal years after her untimely death in 1997 – and her son's bride-to-be, Meghan Markle will be carrying a special tribute to Princess Diana on her wedding day.
News has now reached us that Lady Di was in fact the inspiration behind one of the world's best selling moisturisers – in fact, it was created for her.
Mark Constantine, co-founder of lush, met Princess Diana years ago and, during conversation, she told him about her favourite mosituriser at the time.
The conversation inspired Constantine to make a moisturiser inspired by her radiant beauty, Allure reports, and so Lush's Gorgeous Facial Moisturiser was born. Could it have a more appropriate name with Princess Diana as its muse?
