I’m blonde and I love it. I’ve never dyed my hair dark. I’ll sometimes wear a wig when I’m somewhere with lots of people, such as Disneyland. It’s fun to be able to change my hair colour without worrying about the damage.
When I was younger, my friends would sunbathe – I would be the only one not doing it. My mother told me that the sun would destroy my skin, and I’m glad I listened to her. I’m still strict with my SPF; I use Chanel UV Essentiel Anti-Pollution Broad Spectrum SPF50.

It’s tricky keeping blonde shiny. Tracey Cunningham, my colourist in Los Angeles, told me about a treatment called Olaplex. It’s better than any mask. It’s done at the same time as lightening your hair, and if you get your hair styled all the time, it’s a lifesaver. I also apply the at-home treatment every few days, and the Kérastase deep conditioning mask overnight; it smells amazing.
I’ll never cut my hair short again! During The Simple Life, I had extensions removed and decided to try a shorter style. The hairdresser was very famous and did everyone’s hair, so I trusted him. I was on my phone, and when I looked up my hair was up to my ears – I looked like a boy! I was too embarrassed to say I didn’t like it, so I just went into the bathroom and cried. He ruined my hair.

My fans tag me in their Instagram pictures of my fragrances. I’ve created 17 in the past ten years and they love to show me their collections – it’s really cute. My taste in perfume has become more sophisticated with age; my latest, With Love, contains green apple, kiwi, jasmine and fresh orchid.
When people visit my home, it’s important that it smells good. The right scent can really lift someone’s mood. I use candles, oils and incense, but they have to look beautiful, too. My favourites are Jo Malone London, and vanilla and gardenia scents.

I love smoothies and juices. In the summer, I’ll do a juice diet and drink only juice for three days – it’s usually if I have something big coming up where I’m going to be wearing a bikini.
I like trying new looks, but there are products I rely on. I use MAC eyeshadows, Anastasia Beverly Hills brow powder and NARS bronzers. The Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation really does go on like silk, while Chanel’s concealer is my favourite.
