Meghan Markle borrowed something from Alexa Chung for her wedding reception
Who would have thought it?!
Who would have thought it?!
If we divide the Royal Wedding into two parts, we would call 'Ceremony Meghan' understated chic - that Givenchy wedding dress screams of it, as does her paired back make-up and hair. 'Reception Meghan' was the cool girl - hello, did you see her choice of sleek, silk, high-necked Stella McCartney gown?!
So then it's no surprise that Meghan chose a hair stylist known for creating 'cool girl' hair to help her with her second look of the day.
It was revealed that George Northwood had styled the new Duchess of Sussex's hair for the evening reception. Northwood is known for being Alexa Chung's most trusted hairstylist; he's the one behind her messy 'Bedhead Bob'.
He's also in charge of Alicia Vikander, Lily James and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's tresses. See we told you - 'cool girl' hair.
For the reception, Northwood took Meghan's famous messy bun and ran with it. The Duchess has been repeatedly spotted with this hairstyle in recent months, with many speculating that it would make an appearance on the big day.
It was the perfect pairing for what was already a perfect day.
