Madonna’s 19-year-old daughter, Lourdes Leon (known as Lola to her friends and family) is one of the faces of Stella McCartney’s brand new fragrance, POP.
Lola's resemblance to her megastar mother (circa 1984) is strong, right?
Stella has enlisted four young talents to front her new campaign: Lola Leon (currently a performing arts student at the University of Michigan) models alongside Canadian musician Grimes, actress Amanda Stenberg and animal activist Kenya Kinski Jones.
It’s Stella’s first fragrance launch in four years and the deisgner took to Instgram to introduce the hand-picked gang of influencers she’s chosen to collaborate with: 'Together as one these strong women are a force to be reckoned with', she said.

Stella told WWD: ‘It’s a real, very personal casting. We wanted to try and set a precedent for a new way to look at beauty, and a new way to just talk about how young women are allowed to be’

First up, Stella paid tribute to Lola via Instgram: ‘So happy to have Lola on the POP team! Lola, who I’ve known her entire life, is at the beginning of her career as a performing artist. She’s an independent, inspirational and free-spirited young woman. Despite being born in the spotlight, she has kept her feet firmly on the ground!’

Announcing Grimes’ involvement Stella stated: ‘Grimes is a wonderful musician, director and writer. She’s the real deal, which I think is really rare to come across. She refuses to compromise on anything ethically or artistically, which sets her apart from many of her contemporaries.’

Stella described ‘extraordinary talent and actress, Amandla’ as ‘a great young girl who has a lot to say and I love that. She’s not afraid to speak her mind, which makes her an inspirational role model for girls all across the world.’

And speaking of her ‘animal activist sister’ Stella said that Kenya ‘takes on the responsibility to be a voice for animals and her passion for activism is something I can both relate to and admire! She’s also an acomplished competitive horseback rider, writer and a model – an all-round wonderful girl!’
