The Gossip Girl has switched from signature blonde to a fiery new look

Blake Lively stole the show at last night's Time Magazine 100 Most Influential People Gala, debuting a brand new fiery hair colour.

And yes, she naturally made the prestigious list!

Ditching her signature honey hue, the Gossip Girl starlet showed off a tumbling mane of strawberry blonde curls - the perfect compliment to her dramatic Zuhair Murad aqua gown.

No stranger to a colour change, the actress switched to brunette last year or her role in superhero flick, The Green Lantern, although it's unconfirmed whether her new hue is again for a film role.

One thing's for sure - it's certainly a far cry from her small screen alter-ego, Serena Van Der Woodsen - could the lovely Ms Lively be trying to distance herself from the role that found her fame?
