The latest designer to get in on the perfume act is unveiled
Louis Vuitton are to make their fragrance debut, it has been confirmed.
The brand, whose luxury luggage and fashion-fabulous clothes we all love to covet, has revealed a new addition to the label in the form of master perfumer Monsieur Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud.
Born in Grasse, Jacques comes from a rich heritage of scent-makers as both his father and grandfather were perfumers.
And as one might expect from an acquisition by the eponymous fashion house, Monsieur Jacques’ fragrant creations read like a who’s who of the scent world (we’re talking fragrance fav’s such as Stella McCartney’s Stella, Issey Miyake L’Eau d'Issey and Dior Addict).
'Joining Louis Vuitton is an honour and a pleasure,' says Jacques.
'It is a unique and particularly exciting adventure, all the more so as I share the Maison’s values: respect for expertise, craftsmanship and the choice of the finest materials. The Maison’s Heritage is also an inexhaustible source of inspiration.'
