Leona Lewis has signed up to be The Body Shop’s new Brand Activist.
Far from being just a (rather pretty) face for the company, the singer is actively partaking in a matter very close to her heart.

As a passionate supporter of animal rights and long-term vegetarian, Leona’s latest role will see her help The Body Shop and NGO Cruelty Free International’s joint campaign to end animal testing for cosmetics for good.
The trio of forces will kickstart their efforts following the EU ban on animal testing in the beauty industry on 11 March, with an aim to continue the ban on a global scale.
And that’s not all Leona will be doing, she’s also put her name to an exclusive cruelty-free fragrance and make-up line, named Limited Edition Collection by Leona Lewis. True to the X Factor winner’s beliefs the products are all 100 per cent vegetarian while the packaging gives a gentle nod to The Body Shop’s history.

Every product from the collection bears a floral deer motif - a subtle statement to remember the high street store was one of the first beauty brands to use cruelty-free man-made musk instead of scents derived from deers.
To celebrate her new beauty partnership Leona is holding an exclusive gig that will be live streamed on 26 March, for more information see facebook.com/thebodyshopuk
The Limited Edition Collection by Leona Lewis is available at selected stores from March 26 2013.
