Kourtney Kardashian's ultimate beauty secrets
We met the eldest Kardashian sister, Kourtney, to quiz her on her best beauty tips and tricks and chat all things health and fitness. Read on to find out about Kourtney Kardashian's beauty secrets as told to Marie Claire...
Have any of your sisters ever given you a makeover?
Kylie Jenner and I talk about doing each other’s makeup all the time and filming it. I want to do it super natural on her and she wants to do some heavy, crazy makeup on me - I’m sure she’d do a Kylie lip kit.
We've heard you'll only sleep on silk pillowcases, is that true?
I’ve been sleeping on silk pillowcases for like 20 years! I don’t usually bring one away with me but I’ve just got the Beauty Pillow which helps prop your head up too so I think I’m going to start taking it everywhere.
Did having children change your outlook on beauty?
Having my son made me more conscious of what I was eating. I was trying to figure out what to feed him and that’s where my natural lifestyle really started but now it’s a like a no-brainer for me! I don’t count calories but I have cut out dairy and gluten, which has definitely given me more energy. I always start the day with my avocado shake recipe, which is super healthy; it’s coconut milk, avocado and a spoonful of Manuka Doctor Honey. My daughter loves it too but my son won’t go near it.

How did you get back in shape after each of your pregnancies?
After each pregnancy it’s been more difficult to stay in shape. After having my last baby I was more motivated though and I couldn’t wait to have abs again! Now if I take an hour to work out that’s an hour away from my kids so I want it to be really intense - like I’m going to throw up! I used to go to the gym by myself but I got stuck in a routine so recently I’ve been working out with my trainer. I love working out in my garden at home with my sister Khloe Kardashian too.
What is your favourite spa treatment?
I’m so busy I never have time to go to the spa but I try and have a massage every Sunday at home. My kids are always with me and they watch movies and we chat, it isn't relaxing like a spa, I don’t fall asleep! When I’m at home I’ll do a body scrub in the shower with this all-natural rose oil scrub by Shiva Rose, it’s really moisturising and smells so good.
You've worked with some of the top makeup artists in the world. Have you picked up any great makeup tricks that you use at home?
My sisters and I have definitely got the contouring and highlighting look down. I love Charlotte Tilbury’s Bronze and Glow, it’s like a two-in-one product. I’ve mastered concealing under the eye too - it’s really hard, not everyone can do it! The NARS concealer is great for under your eyes and for covering up spots. Actually I just asked my assistant to get me one for my travel bag!

How long does it take for you to get ready in the morning?
At home my skincare is really simple. I love the Manuka Doctor toner as it’s really gentle but I don’t usually wear moisturiser. For my eyes I love the Lancome Hypnose Mascara and the Stila Eyeliner, which I smudge along my inner lash line. I don’t tint my brows but I do like to pencil them in with an Anastasia Beverly Hills brow pencil.
What's your favourite Instagram filter?
I don’t filter my photos on instagram but I love the beauty filter on snapchat. Sometimes I take one on that and then save it for later. It usually makes you look so good but sometimes it goes too far and makes you look like some kind of crazy alien Barbie!
