Kim Kardashian's Beauty Routine: Four Eyeliners, Ombre Brows And Sleeping In Make-Up
Yep, she's an advocate for sleeping in your make-up.
Yep, she's an advocate for sleeping in your make-up.
As any beauty expert will tell you, sleeping in your makeup is a big no-no. Skipping on cleansing and moisturising before hopping into bed is deemed to be a fast-track to bad skin - advice Kim Kardashian and us on a Saturday night (okay, okay Friday and Thursday and maybe on a lazy Tuesday, too) hasn't taken on board. Yep, Kim has revealed that she doesn’t always remove her make-up before hitting the hay.
Kim disclosed her beauty faux pas while delivering a speech at the inaugural InStyle awards in LA. She was tasked with presenting Charlotte Tilbury her award for Make-Up Artist Of The Year and chose this moment to share what she loves the most about the beauty guru.
‘Charlotte Tilbury is my hero because she has never let her husband see her without make-up on. She sleeps with her make-up on. She's my idol,' she said. 'She's inspired me when I am really lazy and I can't do my make-up the next day, so I'll sleep in my make-up.’
But that's not all Kim does when it comes to weird and wonderful make-up techniques. Here are the steps she takes to looking gorgeous each and every time...

She only washes her hair twice a week

Writing on her website, Kim revealed her hair is very low-maintenance. 'I only shampoo it twice a week to prevent it from drying out,' she wrote. 'I also love use hydrating at-home hair masks.' It might sound impossible to only wash your hair twice a week, but Kim's got it all worked out. She told In The Gloss: 'For my hair, I don’t wash it every day. We start out with a blowout on day one, then we go into a messier vibe the next day, and then we flat iron it and do a really sleek look on day three since that requires a little oil in the hair. Day four could be a slicked-back ponytail, and on the fifth day is when you wash it. That’s a little excessive, maybe.'
She puts foundation everywhere
Yes, really everywhere. In a masterclass by her favourite Mario Dedivanovic, many of Kim's top-secret beauty hacks were revealed - including the fact that she puts foundation all over her body, including on her eyelids, ears, chest, arms, feet and legs. At the very least, Mario recommends putting foundation on your ears before a big event to prevent them looking red in photos.
Ombre isn't just for hair - it's for eyebrows too
Mario also revealed that he uses two different eyebrow pencils in various shades of brown when filling in Kim's brows, to make them look 'softer and sweeter-looking'.
One eyeliner is never enough
Mario always makes Kim's eyes look beautiful - and he revealed this is done by using no less than three or four different eyeliners to create more definition and create a stronger effect.
