Yet to throw your Christmas party? Take some inspiration from team Marie Claire and make sure your's goes off with a bang
It’s party season, and naturally the Marie Claire Christmas bash had to be a fabulous affair.
Christmas elves had cunningly snuck into MC HQ early last Wednesday morning to decorate the place and get us in the festive spirit. They’d even left a little gift for each of us – lipstick and chocolate. These were some clever little elves...
We made a stoic attempt at meeting deadlines and filing copy, all whilst dashing between hair appointments, courtesy of Evo Hair, and tanning sessions with James Harknett for Sienna X (even an MC gal needs a little help looking fabulous sometimes), and then, finally, the combination of festive tunes, bad taste jumpers and a very glamorous Secret Santa announced that it was party time. So we kicked off the festivities with a glass of Monsoon bubbly and a yummy Vestal Vodka espresso martini (Singha beer for our token men) plus yummy Thai snacks from our friends at Suda.
All aboard the party cars, and we made it in record time to Chelsea’s Barbarella, where we were greeted by yet more champagne, Vestal Vodka cocktails and canapés, plus the pumping tunes chosen by team MC.
We partied hard, with the occasional time out to be wowed by our very own Magic Al, who made coins disappear and cards turn up in our designer clutches. All very hocus pocus.
We won’t comment on the following day…
