Scarlett Johansson pouts for D&G's first make-up line
Dolce & Gabbana has called on one of its most famous, and glamorous, fans to front its very first make-up campaign: Scarlett Johansson.
The design duo accompanied the actress to last year's Costume Institute Gala, where she was clad in an ethereal Dolce frock. She has since stepped out on numerous occasions in their slinky dresses.
Speaking of their latest muse, Stefano Gabbana told WWD, 'Scarlett is sure of herself. She’s a beautiful girl, but she’s really easygoing. She is very Dolce & Gabbana.'
As for the campaign, and a seductive Scarlett has been shot as a modern-day Marilyn Monroe by photograoher Sølve Sundsbø.
He described, 'There's only one photo (of the three) in the campaign that is truly Marilyn, with her gestures and her
attitude. For me, a woman's coquettishness is very important.'

This will be the first time that Dolce & Gabbana has stepped into the beauty world, albeit for a hugely successful line of perfumes.
'We see make-up as another thing for women, like a dress. We worked on the make-up line like we work on a clothing collection — you can change make-up like you can change your clothes, depending on your mood,' Gabbana told WWD.
Naturally for D&G, the packaging will be as glamorous as their designs, all in gold, and housed in gold pouches.
The first collection will be inspired by Mediterranean shades and the lipsticks will be rose scented.
'We wanted to create make-up with a scent. Domenico and I remember when we were children and opened our mother’s handbags — the scent of her lipstick trailed out. I observed that when women open make-up, they smell it first,' Gabbana added.
