Okay, so ‘affordable’ is a loosely used term and some of the price tags probably won’t help a hangover, but with 120 galleries and paintings, prints, sculpture and photography priced between £100 and £4,000, there’s plenty to give you the art bug. ‘People often look to art for inspiration and new perspectives of everyday,’ explains the fair’s founder Will Ramsay.
‘Art collecting can be fun, enlightening and is often exhilarating, adding a touch of colour to our world.’
So whether you’re after a one-off or plan to start your collection, head down on Saturday or Sunday. Even if you don’t find anything, it’s always good for a celeb spot. Ricky Gervais, Ant and Dec and Rachel Stevens are all regulars. Who knew?
Tickets to the fair are £12 in advance and £15 on the door. www.affordableartfair.co.uk
